This picture was when I had my last ultrasound, on November 30th. Somehow the other computer did not let me upload it (has something to do with the browser),
but with this PC I was finally able to do it.
So, here it is everyone... it's the side profile of our little babygirl!!! One of her arms is folded right in front of her face and she was 'resting' a finger of the other one on her lips.... See her nose?! hhehehe.. it's soooo Ahren's nose!!

Christmas is almost here...
Christmas itu selalu menyenangkan rasanya..... ntah kenapa, setiap nyadar kalo christmas is not too long, i smile. I guess, that's one of the powers of Christmas Day :D Baru bbrp hari ini g mikir, wuihh.. ini perut udah membesar, hamilnya udah 26 jalan 27 weeks, taon depan gue dan hubby udah ga ber2 lagi. Life's going to be different pastinya. Gak sampe 3 mg lagi, gue ber2 udah mau anniversary ke-2. Hmmmmm.... Aduh cepet banget yaakk?!! Semua yang udah gue lewati have all been wonderful and itu semua berkah dari Tuhan karena Dia sayang banget ama gue, ya gak?!
Tapi kayaknya bakalan bener deh kata temen online bumil gue, Ferliany, makin lama tendangan2nya makin ga 'lucu' lagi heheh..
Sejak hamil, apalagi pas udah tambah gede, baru deh makin kerasa, tnyt orang tua itu maunya ga pernah banyak2 dan macem2. Yang penting, the child comes out healthy and turns out to be a good kid. A very simple wish, tanpa embel2 ini itu (beda banget dengan pendapat2 aneh pas kita2 masih kecil *dan terutama pas keinginannya ga terpenuhi*).
Bbrp hr yg lalu, rmh g kedatangan tamu. Ini tamu tuh sangat unik. Boleh percaya dan tidak, tp berhubung dia (dan nyokapnya yang udah long time ago passed away) udah temenan ama keluarga gue dari sebelum gue lahir, yah mau ga mau kita tetap berteman. Nah, ini orang punya keahlian buat meramal (so she said) dengan membaca buku yang isinya tulisan cina semua, berdasarkan tanggal lahir kita dll dan jago juga ngebaca sifat2 kita dari raut wajah..
One nice thing she said when she saw me, was that.. you're carrying a very nice baby who's going to have the best behaviour you could ever ask for. She's going to be the sweetest baby, isn't going to cry too much, and basically will not exhaust you. (among other things she said, baby gue bakalan jadi anak yang baek, rajin, cantik dan sayang orang tua, dll). Wuihhh senengnya gue dengerin itu. Katanya sih karena selama gue hamil gue gak ngidam2, gak muntah2, raut wajah gue bersinar.
Boleh percaya, boleh tidak. Tapi gue milih percaya aja deh, kan semuanya bagus2 hehehe... apalagi lagi hamil2 begini, terkadang seneng jg rasanya kalo bs denger kalimat2 bagus yang menyegarkan jiwa spt itu hehhe...
Anyways..., stitches-nya Ahren udah dibuka 4 hr yg lalu. My dad really did a good job. Ampir ga keliatan!! Bekasnya masih merah sih, cuman spt kegores doang. Apparently, jaitannya sub-cutaneous gitu, jadi bekasnya minimal. Thank God deh nothing else went wrong, ya kan..
Business front, bae2 aja sih.. mumpung holiday time en mo natal, banyak banget orang2 beli coklat. Senenggg dehh... Dan cookies2 hasil kerja keras gue bbrp hari ini juga laku keras lhooo.. Abis, dimana lagi bisa dapetin Gingerbread Man, Scottish Shortbread, very very yummy Raisin Oatmeal yang sehat?!!! hehehe... *promosi niihh yee* Tapi memang dasar orang Medan, apa yang toko gue peloporin bbrp bln yg lalu, langsunggg ditiru. HMPFHH!!! Next year nih, pasti ada aja bakery laen yang mulai ikutan jualan shortbread, dll. *urut2 dada* Kata Ahren dan bokap gue, yang penting I have to stay creative and always be one step, or more if possible, ahead of everyone else.
which reminds me... besok mo buat kue coklat aahhh..... :D
weight gain : gue baru sadar update terakhir waktu kehamilan 23 mg, skrg udah 26 weeks and 3 days, dlm 3 mg ini berat g naiknya steady but sure banget.. totalnya udah +6 kgs.
bulging update : rounder hehehe..
discomforts : sweaty at night, leg cramps kalo lagi bobo, tapi sejak pake leg comfort mustella, udah lumayan banget2.., beser udah kembali, kadang2 bisa rada2 mual dikit kalo perutnya kosong
craving : still nothing
Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Wow, my husband went on the operating table BEFORE I do!! *grin*
Yes, he did!!
I was just baking my last batch of Gingerbread Man cookies when Alwin, my youngest brother rang up. He told me Ahren's 'eye' was wounded. My heart raced. Then he said, ohh above his eye, the eyebrow. *phew* I really thought for a second there that he meant Ahren's eyeball!!!!
So he said meet us at the hospital. I quickly went to change and dragged my sister to accompany me. We couldn't reach my parents as they were still in the mass... Anyways, what happened was Ahren and his friend Mark had headbutted during their basketball game (one was in possession of the ball and one was trying to steal, is that right ahren????).
We got to the emergency room, saw Alwin was filling up some form and were told Ahren was in the other room. As we walked over, ugghhh there he was chit-chatting with Mark. His eyebrow was about 4-5cm ripped open. And Mark, only suffered a very light bruise. Just his luck that he got hit in the hardest/sharpest part of the eyebrow or that he's got very tough skin. :D
Apparently, it looked worse than it is (at least that's what my husband told me). As soon as it happened, blood started gushing out non-stop and made everyone panick. His coach rushed to him and I believe he put some tobacco on the cut.
I'm not so sure if it was safe but he meant well.
All in all, the night ended better. My dad showed up and took over to do the suture over an operating table in the operating room (had the ER guy done the suture, it might leave scars). So yeah.....he went on the operating table way before I do.... *laughs*
------------
I'm about to make some Scottish Shortbread. Just recieved the family recipe from Ahren's grandma in the email (Thanks heaps gma!! Happy Christmas to you and Grandpa too!!). Wish me luck!!
And, don't worry about Ahren, we're taking care of him very very well here.. *sweet smiles*

24 Weeks 3 Days
Thank you for spending a little bit of your time to vote for your favourite names!!! My MIL was right, we realized that picking the name is the hardest job during the pregnancy (never mind the labour and all :D ). And as the mother and father to-be, we both seem to be so picky too! *laughs* We've seen more than thousand of names and guess what, we like only a few of them!! But I think we've agreed on 1 beautiful name, first AND middle!!! I'm glad... *PHEW* (now hopefully none of us starts to dislike it).
The baby is indeed very very active. When I'm in bed and could feel the kicks, I'd quickly try to feel and catch a glimpse of the movement, but she seems to know and shy away. *chuckles* The weirdest feeling so far is when one part of my stomach just suddenly bulge out (maybe that's when she's stretching or changing position?).
Oh by the way, my last ultrasound was November 30th. She weighed about 660 gram and was occassionally staring at us during the scan! Dad then changed it to the 3D scan as he thought her position was pretty good for it. And yes, here's the 3D side profile of our baby girl!! So sorry (again) I quickly snapped it with my PDA, hence it's rather blurry. But you can see her nose (which is Ahren's!!), and she's got a finger in her mouth (not exactly sucking it, which looks quite funny).
YOUR BABY THIS WEEK...
Week 24
Your baby's growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she's almost a foot long, that makes for a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally. Your baby's skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds may be working now. Her lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" and cells that produce surfactant, a substance that helps the air sacs inflate easily.
Your baby can hear more and more now, and you may even notice her startle at loud, sudden noises. But she's probably getting used to the regular noises she hears around the house, such as your dog barking or the roar of a vacuum cleaner. Many new parents are surprised by how unfazed their newborns seem by sounds like these, but if you think about it, they've had months to get accustomed to them.
Your Body
You weight gain is beginning to accelerate to about one pound (.45 kg) per week, so symptoms like lower back pain and swollen feet may increase. Resting periodically for 15 to 20 minutes can help. Beginning this week, your health care provider will start monitoring you for gestational diabetes (high blood sugar levels during pregnancy). If you are gaining a lot of weight, blood testing is imperative, since excessive weight gain is typically a symptom. Some women also report feeling some depression around this time. While feelings of sadness usually pass within a few weeks, talk to your caregiver if they don't.
